CLEARWATER, Fla. — After more than 100 days of being closed for renovations, a Clearwater staple is back open following two hurricanes.

Frenchy's Rockaway Grill opened back up on Monday after three months. The restaurant suffered water damage, their outdoor eating deck was filled with sand and their parking lot buckled under the strength of the storm surge from Hurricane Helene.

“We've never seen this,” General Manager Chris Tiemeier previously told 10 Tampa Bay. “I mean, we've seen water come up, but I've never seen the parking lot come up and break apart and float around and or cave in completely.

Then just a few weeks later, the spot got hit hard by Hurricane Milton.

Now, while they aren't "quite 100%," the staff is ready to welcome back customers.

The business has been posting updates throughout the renovation process, including pictures of the new floor, new sheet rock for the walls and a new paint job.

The restaurant also posted a picture of many people enjoying the first sunset back.

"It's been a LONG 117 days but WE'RE BACK BABY!!!" their Facebook post read.
