TARPON SPRINGS, Fla — Firefighters in Tarpon Springs put out a fire early Wednesday morning at a coastal home on Sunkissed Drive near Seaside Drive.
The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m.
The family who lived there all got out safely. According to a statement from Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue, firefighters also rescued three cats from the house. Nobody was hurt.
The statement also says that the fire started in the garage and had spread somewhat into the house before firefighters were able to put it out.
Officials are currently investigating what caused the fire.
