CLEARWATER, Fla. — A death investigation is underway in Clearwater after a father and his adult son were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
Officers were called just after 1:30 p.m. to the Lexington Club Apartments on South Missouri Avenue after workers noticed "a foul odor" coming from one of the units, according to the Clearwater Police Department.
Police and firefighters entered the unit and discovered the bodies of 65-year-old Michael Yevtuck and 35-year-old Joseph Yevtuck.
Based on a preliminary investigation, detectives say Michael shot and killed his son, Joseph, before killing himself.
