Stretch of Drew Street reopens following reported hazmat situation

No one has been hurt.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — A stretch of Drew Street has reopened to traffic after firefighters investigated a reported hazardous materials incident at a business.

Eight employees from First Block, a cabinet-making company at 615 Drew St., were evacuated just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to Clearwater Public Safety. No injuries have been reported.

The roadway had been closed from Myrtle to Garden avenues.

It's not yet known what prompted the evacuation.
