CLEARWATER, Fla. — One person died after two jet skis crashed into each other on Sunday afternoon.
Two people were on jet skis just after 5 p.m. near Sand Key when they collided, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife officials. The two people were both thrown into the water. One was hurt but the other person was taken to the hospital where they died.
"All members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission would like to express our sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the victim," a news release read.
No additional information was provided. Florida Fish and Wildlife officials are continuing to investigate.
