CLEARWATER, Fla. — Northbound U.S. Highway 19 has reopened to traffic following a deadly crash Friday morning.
It happened in the area of U.S. 19 and Seville Boulevard, according to the Clearwater Police Department. Photos show an SUV somehow flipped onto its roof while a truck suffered damage to its front.
The driver, a 71-year-old man, died as a result of critical injuries suffered in the crash. Another person was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic in the northbound lanes had been diverted to the northbound access road at Seville Boulevard.
