Church in Indian Rocks Beach holding weekly candlelight services after back-to-back storms

Candlelight services will be every Wednesday at the Church of the Isles starting at 6 p.m.

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Fla. — An Indian Rocks Beach church is hoping to help people recovering from storms heal with weekly candlelight services as we move towards the holidays and away from hurricane season.

The Church of the Isles knows all about recovering from the back-to-back storms. Helene sent more than a foot of water into some areas. While Milton’s winds caused roof damage.

The pastor said during this stressful time, it can be hard to look past a lengthy list of repairs, but he encourages the community to have hope.

"Everybody needs an opportunity for quiet reflection. It's something that is in extremely short supply," Pastor Wesley Snedeker said. "We live in a time of a lot of noise, not just from the chaos from the hurricanes, but just a lot of distraction and a lot of things tugging at us."
