CLEARWATER, Fla. — A 33-year-old man was hospitalized after he crashed his car into another parked car early Saturday morning, the Clearwater Police Department said in a news release.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday at Court Street and Missouri Avenue, officers said. The 33-year-old was reportedly driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu before it veered out of control, slamming into a parked car at a nearby business.
Officers and crews with Clearwater Fire Rescue arrived to find the car on its side before taking the driver to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, the department said. He is reportedly in critical condition.
As the investigation continues, officers say speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash.
