Picking up the pieces at a Palm Harbor RV Park

Residents begin to clean up after the Caladesi RV Park flooded due to heavy rains Monday.

Palm Harbor, Florida -- Dozens of people at the Sherwood Forest and Caladesi RV Park are drying out after more than four feet of flood water rushed through their homes Monday.

Now the water is gone but the clean up has just begun.

"I'm 6'4", and water was up to my waist," says Michael Conley.

Conley knows that flood waters aren't something you mess with. What he doesn't know is who owns the belongings that were found in his front yard.

"Half of this furniture isn't mine," he says.

And this deck is nice but it belongs to somebody else, not the middle of the street.

Donnie Duncan's home damaged.

"I got 10 and a half inches from [Hurricane] Debbie. This time I got 2 feet," he says.

He's not the only one. 80% of homes in the Caladesi RV Park saw some sort of water damage after rain flooded their properties.

"It was so much more than Debbie," says Duncan.

Now those here are left picking up the pieces and soaking up what's left.

"What I'm nervous about now is mold," says Conley.

Mold is something that can be very dangerous.
