TRINITY, Fla. — A teen was seriously hurt after crashing into the back of a school bus in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened just before 3:30 p.m. Monday on Trinity Boulevard near Sweetspire Drive.
A 16-year-old boy on a Kawasaki motorcycle was heading eastbound on Trinity Boulevard behind a Pasco County school bus carrying 42 middle school students and driven by a 62-year-old man.
Troopers said when the bus and other cars stopped for a pedestrian on a crosswalk, the motorcyclist was unable to stop and crashed into the back of the school bus.
The teen was seriously hurt and transported to a local hospital. The bus driver and the 42 students on board were not injured.
