NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says it's aware of a threat circulating on social media among students at Gulf High School in New Port Richey, the agency said in an X post.
Deputies said the message is a repost spreading across the state of Florida and doesn't specify any Pasco County Schools. There are reportedly no threats to any Pasco County schools at this time.
"PSO continues to investigate these threats, and we always encourage our community to report any suspicious activity," deputies stated in the post.
Many school districts across the Tampa Bay area, Florida and the U.S. are experiencing an uptick in school threats, although few are credible.
