DADE CITY, Fla. — A Spring Hill man died after the motorcycle he was riding ejected him during a crash in Pasco County, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard in Dade City. FHP says a 27-year-old Dade City Woman was driving northbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard in her Lincoln MKX.
Directly behind her was the 27-year-old Spring Hill motorcyclist on a Kawasaki Ninja. Troopers said the motorcyclist tried to pass the Lincoln when the woman tried to make a left turn into a private driveway in the area between Fields Farm Lane and Fisher Lane.
As he was trying to get around the car, troopers say the driver and motorcyclist crossed paths and collided. As a result, the 27-year-old man was ejected from the motorcycle. He died at the scene from his injuries, troopers said.
The woman was not hurt in the crash.
