Parts of Pasco County see 'historical flooding,' residents told to evacuate

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Residents in Pasco County are being told to evacuate and get to higher ground as some areas are experiencing "historical flooding," according to officials.

According to the county's website, the following locations are under voluntary evacuation orders:

Elfers
Cypress Creek at Worthington Gardens
Thousand Oaks
Everyone in low-lying areas or areas prone to flooding

River Ridge Middle and High Schools — 11646 Town Center Road in New Port Richey
Wesley Chapel Recreation Complex — 7727 Boyette Road in Wesley Chapel
