Parts of Pasco County see 'historical flooding,' residents told to evacuate

According to the county, the voluntary evacuation applies to some neighborhoods, including anyone in a low-lying area and areas prone to flooding.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Residents in Pasco County are being told to evacuate and get to higher ground as some areas are experiencing "historical flooding," according to officials.

According to the county's website, the following locations are under voluntary evacuation orders:

  • Elfers
  • Cypress Creek at Worthington Gardens
  • Thousand Oaks
  • Everyone in low-lying areas or areas prone to flooding
