NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man who was reported missing and endangered shot himself.
Deputies said they found and spoke with the man who moved behind a trailer and shot himself shortly after in the US 19 area of New Port Richey, according to an X post.
Officials said he was reported missing and endangered due to concerning statements and possession of a weapon.
This was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
