ELFERS, Fla. — A 70-year-old woman died from her injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. Monday at Shamrock and Nimmer drives.
Troopers say the 70-year-old from New Port Richey was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a truck. Its driver then drove off without stopping, FHP said. The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.
It's believed that the truck that crashed into the man is a 1990s model Ford Ranger.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call *FHP or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
