Wildfire breaks out off Darby Road in Dade City

Large plume of smoke is seen on side of Interstate 75 southbound in Dade City due to a wildfire

DADE CITY, Fla. — Crews are battling a wildfire that broke out Monday afternoon in Pasco County.

The fire is located off Darby Road near Interstate 75 in Dade City. The Florida Forest Service's Withlacoochee Forestry Center said the size of the wildfire is unknown.

Traffic cameras showed cars backed up around 3 p.m. on I-75 South with a large plume of smoke right next to the interstate.
