NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A driver is recovering after crashing her Mercedes SUV into two New Port Richey storefronts.
It happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday on Rowan Road at State Road 54.
A 36-year-old Port Richey woman was driving southbound on Rowan Road when she missed a curve in the lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Her car crossed over the median and into the northbound lanes of the road before hitting a wooden utility pole.
The car continued into an unoccupied building on the side of the road, crashing into Talia's Salon Spot and Orange Grove Dental Care.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. FHP said it's not clear what led her to miss the curve in the road.
