ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — A fire that injured three people Tuesday morning in Pasco County is under investigation for what law enforcement calls a "domestic-related arson," according to authorities.
The man at the center of the crime, a 47-year-old, is accused of setting himself and the home on fire, Zephyrhills spokesperson Kevin Weiss said.
Firefighters responded just after 7 a.m. to the home located in the area of Boxer Round Place and Stella Vast Drive.
Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the man was rushed for treatment of critical injuries. Authorities say he targeted the two people, aged 35 and 72.
"All parties are known to each other," the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said in a brief statement, but authorities have not yet disclosed their exact relationship
