Tampa, FL --A new vision for Tampa's Channelside Bay Plaza could become a new reality.
A meeting was held at the Port where bidders presented their plans.
The only presentation was from Jeff Vinik's group - CBP Development LLC.
Their plans are for something called "Channelside Live", essentially a brand new entertainment complex.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn was both impressed and excited.
Vinik's group bid just over $7 million dollars. Today the port pre-approved that bid and the auction is Wednesday.
