There are new developments in the state's move to revamp highways in the Bay Area.
Known as the Tampa Bay Express or TBX, the plan would expand I-275 to add toll lanes.
The plan hasn't been approved yet by local traffic officials and not approving the state's plan could come with consequences.
According to reports, district Department of Transportation secretary Paul Steinman has said not approving it could put a halt to other important projects.
That includes work on the Howard Frankland Bridge and upgrading the interchange at i-275 and state road 60.
Millions of dollars in highway improvements could go elsewhere.
The Hillsborough metropolitan planning organization is in charge of deciding whether to approve the TBX plan or not.
You can weigh in at a public hearing on June 22nd.
