A male rider was killed when his motorcycle struck a vehicle in Pinellas Park Wednesday evening.
Police say the crash occurred at approximately 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Park Boulevard North at the intersection of 43rd Street. A 2007 Honda motorcycle driven by Shane McEntegart, 38, of St. Petersburg was headed east on Park Boulevard. Meanwhile, a 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by Ralph Martin, 44, of St. Petersburg was waiting to turn left from westbound Park Boulevard onto 43th Street.
According to witnesses, as the light began to turn yellow, the motorcycle cut between two vehicles and ran into the Toyota, which was trying to clear the intersection. McEntegart was ejected from the motorcycle, and he was declared dead at the scene.
Martin was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police said no criminal charges are pending.
