Many streets open after flooding, still troubling spots

After a large amount of road closures Monday, many of the streets have opened up around the Bay area, especially in Tampa.

Tampa, Florida -- After a large amount of road closures on Monday many of the streets have opened up around the Bay area, especially in Tampa.

There are still some trouble spots though:

Hillsborough

  • (Reopened) Gibson between 56th and 58th shut down
  • (Reopened) VanDyke east of Dale Mabry is flooded
  • (Reopened) N. Mobley Road at Hutchinson Road is flooded
  • (Reopened) Limbaugh Ave. is open but there are reports of standing water between Nebraska Ave and North 22nd Street
  • (Reopened) A large pot hole has formed on Benjamin Road at Waters Ave. One lane blocked.
  • (Reopened) Watch out for standing water on Fletcher Ave. ramp to I-275 and on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, especially eastbound.
  • (Reopened) Not flooding but still a backup -- There is a crash blocking the right lane on NB 275 near Dale Mabry.

Pinellas

  • Tampa Road between Alt US-19 and Orange Street is open but there is still some standing water.
  • Tarpon Woods Blvd. still has high water in many spots.

Pasco

  • Due to the evacuations of the Oak View Apartments and rising flood waters, only one westbound lane of SR-54 is open.
  • Many roads in Pasco are still flooded. Here is list of flooded roads from the Pasco County Government
