BRADENTON, Fla. — A 59-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being hit by a school bus carrying children Thursday morning in Bradenton.
The crash happened around shortly after 6:30 a.m., the Bradenton Police Department told 10 Tampa Bay. The man was reportedly "alert and awake" when officers arrived, but he was still taken to the hospital.
The incident temporarily shut down Manatee Avenue, but that road has since reopened and the kids on the bus were taken to school, according to police.
