Manatee couple has second set of twins in 13 months

The odds of having two sets of twins are 1 in 700,000.
Bonnie and Corey Keyworth welcomed their second set of twins Dominick and Kaitlynn on Aug. 16. Their first set of fraternal twins Michael and Malachi arrived July 3, 2014.

Manatee County, Florida -- Think raising a one-year-old toddler is tough -- try twins and boys! Add a crying baby, make that two babies, and this labor of love at Bonnie and Corey Keyworth's home is 24/7. The two sets of twins are just 13 months apart.

"They've been huge blessing in my life, all four little ones," says proud father Corey Keyworth.

And Corey says a huge surprise twice! Corey found out twins run in his wife's family during the first pregnancy with sons Michael and Malachi born 13 months ago.

"Michael is like his mom, real calm laid back. Malachi is the social bug, talkative, smiling at everyone."

Four months after the boys' birth an unplanned pregnancy, of course they wondered.

"They were dead set -- one heartbeat," says Corey.

Then 18 weeks later, their doctor broke the news.

"You guys are having twins again. I swore up and down they were pulling my leg," recalls Corey.

"I love twins," says Bonnie Keyworth. "They‘re automatically born with a best friend, somebody by their side for life."

On Aug. 16, Dominick and Kaitlynn arrived and the only girl has become "daddy's little princess."

Bonnie and Corey work as a team. Good advice from other parents helps.

"Just be patient, do the best you can and raise them right," Corey says.

Parents advised Bonnie to be organized but flexible. "No matter what you planned something will change, but still -- try to plan."

Bonnie's tip to other moms.

"If you take time for yourself then you'll have more time for your kids," she says.

The Keyworth's quickly outgrew their Ford Focus with two sets of twins. Their church helped out and gave them a minivan. They haven't ruled out more kids.

"Triplets" says Bonnie.

"Anything is possible," adds Corey.

For now, this family is complete.

The couple's church, Christian Retreat Family Church is accepting donations for the family. Their biggest need right now is diapers! The church is located at 1200 Glory Way Blvd in Bradenton. The phone number is 941-746-2882.
