Tampa, FL - A man was shot early Tuesday morning at a Tampa Red Roof Inn.
Tampa Police say Michael Porter was staying in a room with a woman at the hotel, located at 2307 E. Busch Blvd, when the suspect banged on the door and then fired shots through the window.
The woman, who has not been identified, fled the room, got in a car, and drove off. A hotel employee called 911 and officers responded.
Porter, 29, was taken to a local hospital where he is underwent surgery. Initially he was not cooperative, but detectives will attempt to interview him again.
