TAMPA, Fla. — A man was arrested after he was involved in a road rage incident Thursday morning on the University of South Florida's Tampa campus, police report.
Officers were made aware of the road rage incident around 8:30 a.m. when the two cars involved ended up at the LeRoy Collins Garage.
That's where the driver of one of the cars pulled out a gun and pointed it in the direction of the other driver before driving away, according to campus police. No one was injured.
USF officers, along with the Temple Terrace Police Department, arrested the driver at his house without incident.
Police remind the community that possession of a firearm on campus is a violation of Florida law.
"Students, faculty and staff are always encouraged to remain vigilant, aware of their surroundings and immediately report suspicious activity by calling 911," the department wrote in a news release.
There is no threat to the USF community as the investigation continues.
