TAMPA, Fla. — The northbound and southbound lanes of I-275 have reopened at mile 54 after a tractor-trailer hit an overpass.
The truck was transporting a large excavator, and pictures from Florida Highway Patrol show the concrete from the overpass cracked from the collision.
Both directions were blocked off as inspectors examined the structural integrity of the overpass. Northbound I-275 was closed at Bearss Avenue while the southbound lanes were closed at the I-75 split, according to troopers.
No injuries were reported and drivers can go in either direction as of 9:25 a.m.
