SEFFNER, Fla. — Four teens have been arrested in connection to a shooting death that happened last year in Seffner.
On Nov. 11, 2022, Hillsborough County deputies responded to Brower Drive near Mango Road to find a juvenile had been shot. They later died from their injuries.
A lengthy investigation led detectives to obtain arrest warrants for four 19-year-olds: Shaine Garcia, Christopher Cobbs, Zackaryah Shilts and Hailey Quintal.
Garcia, Cobbs and Shilts have all been charged with first-degree felony murder while engaged in robbery.
Quintal has been charged with accessory after the fact and perjury.
The investigation is still active.
"This case is a testament to the fact that, even after a year, our detectives were able to solve this case with persistence, tenacity, and a yearning for justice," Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. "The four responsible for this gruesome murder will now be held accountable for their terrible actions."
