HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash Sunday night in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened at 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 41, north of 118th Avenue E. That's roughly 4 miles northwest of Busch Gardens.
The pedestrian, identified by troopers as a 63-year-old man from Tampa, was walking across the road when he was hit by a Mazda 3. FHP says he died at the scene.
The driver of the Mazda was identified as a 35-year-old man from Tampa.
No charges are expected, according to FHP.
