Tampa police arrest man accused of killing pedestrians at strip club

Dylan Fogle faces a first-degree murder charge, among others.

TAMPA, Fla. — Police arrested a 25-year-old man accused of driving the cab of a semi-truck into the entrance of a Tampa strip club's loading dock, killing one person and injuring two more.

Dylan Fogle, 25, faces first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, vehicular homicide and DUI-related charges, the Tampa Police Department said in a news release.

Police said they responded around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday to the Emperors Gentleman Club, located at 5718 E. Adamo Drive, on a call of a crash involving pedestrians. Witnesses reportedly told officers that Fogle was kicked out of the club and had just crashed the cab into a group of people.

Fogle was removed from the building for "inappropriate behavior," police said.

Six people were standing near the club's loading dock at the time of the crash; Giovanni Soto was hit and died at the scene, according to police. Two other men were taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries and have since been released.

Police said Fogle was taken to a hospital, as well, and tests revealed he had a blood-alcohol content above the legal 0.08 limit.

He was booked in the Orient Road Jail.
