TAMPA, Fla. — One man was arrested after a fight between him and his roommate led to a deadly shooting early Friday morning, according to a statement from Tampa police.
Investigators say Kennith Phillips, 54, called the police and told them that he had shot his roommate at their home near 17th Street and Sitka Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Phillips' roommate sitting on a couch with an apparent gunshot wound, the news release explains.
Police found Phillips inside the home and he was arrested without any issue.
The 54-year-old was reportedly charged with second degree murder.
