TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department is currently searching for a suspect after officers found a man dead Saturday afternoon on North Packwood Avenue near North Arctic Street.
Officers responded to an aggravated battery call around 3 p.m. before coming across the man's body, the department said in a news release. The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, appeared to have upper body trauma.
At this time, the department says detectives are working to determine what led up to the incident and identify a suspect. The incident appears to be isolated, according to officers.
