TAMPA, Fla. — An attempted dog adoption escalated and led to Tampa police investigating an aggravated assault between two women that involved a gun.
The incident happened around noon Saturday on Meadowbrook Avenue, according to police.
Officers took reports from the people involved, including witnesses. The two women provided conflicting statements about what happened and the gun was taken as evidence.
Tampa police and the State Attorney's Office are investigating the incident. No information about the identity of the two women was released.
