TAMPA, Fla. — A pedestrian died from their injuries in a crash at a major Tampa intersection that prompted an hours-long closure, police said.
It happened Wednesday morning at Armenia Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, according to a Tampa Police Department news release.
Police said the driver involved remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating.
Westbound Kennedy was closed at Armenia for a few hours but has since reoepned. Drivers were asked to avoid the area for much of the morning.
