The Tampa Emergency Transportation Service is offering vouchers up to $25 off two round-trip Uber rides to and from the stations to help residents who lost access to personal transportation due to storm-related flooding.
“We know that many in our community are facing overwhelming hardships right now, and we are here to help in any way we can,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “By providing transportation to our Comfort Stations, we hope to give families a small sense of relief as they focus on recovering from Hurricane Helene.”
The stations also have restrooms, showers, laundry services and cooling spaces for residents who don't have access because of the destruction from the storm.
