TAMPA, Fla. — A man is dead after a hit-and-run crash on Gandy Boulevard in Tampa.
Tampa Police officers said they arrived at the scene, which is near the Selmon Expressway and Gandy Bridge, around 11 p.m. Wednesday. When they got there, they said they found a man dead.
Police said they are still working to figure out what happened that led to the crash. There are no details about the driver or vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
Westbound Gandy Boulevard was shut down for several hours overnight, temporarily blocking access to the Pinellas County side of the Gandy Bridge. It has since reopened to traffic.
