Tampa Bay Comic Convention is back: Here's your complete guide

TAMPA, Fla. — Nerds, geeks and fans of all kinds will soon descend upon the Tampa Convention Center to revel in festivities geared directly to all things fandom. That's right — the Tampa Bay Comic Convention is back! 

From Aug. 23 through Aug. 25, thousands of people will gather in downtown Tampa to attend the three-day convention. Packed with celebrity guests, famed artists and respected vendors, the event is sure to bring excitement to fans of all ages. 

From guests to tickets to parking, we've got what you need to know about 2024's Tampa Bay Comic Convention. 

Guests

Let's start with some of the heavy hitters. You've probably heard of "The Little Mermaid" and "Star Wars," right? How about "Lord of the Rings"? These are just some of the movies and franchises being represented at the Tampa Bay Comic Convention. Here are some highlights:

  • Hayden Christensen: Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in "Star Wars" prequels, "Obi-Wan Kenobi"
  • Elijah Wood: Frodo Baggins in "The Lord of the Rings" 
  • Andy Serkis: Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" and Caesar in the new "Planet of the Apes" films
  • Jodi Benson: the voice of Ariel in 1989's Disney animated classic "The Little Mermaid" and Barbie in the "Toy Story" films
  • Charlie Cox: Matthew Murdock/Daredevil in Marvel's "Daredevil"
  • Bill Dee Williams: Lando Calrissian in "Star Wars" 
  • Tom Welling: Clark Kent in "Smallville" and Marcus Pierce in "Lucifer" 
  • Pricilla Presley: Elvis' ex-wife, actress in "Naked Gun" and "Dallas" 
  • Harvey Guillén: Guillermo de la Cruz in TV's "What We Do in the Shadows"

Tickets

Tickets to the Tampa Bay Comic Convention vary in price depending on how long you're going and the perks you want included. For a full list of perks and to compare ticket packages, click or tap here

  • VIP passes start at $299
  • Ruby Pass tickets start at $125
  • Multipass tickets start at $75

Here's what you'll pay if you want a single-day pass:

  • Friday — $35
  • Saturday — $50
  • Sunday — $35

If you want an autograph or photo with your favorite celebrity guest, you may have to buy that separately from your attendance ticket. 

Hayden Christensen is the top ticket at this year's convention when it comes to autograph opportunities and photo ops. An autograph ticket will cost about $275, and a photo op will cost an additional $200. Many sessions are sold out, including cheaper options. 

Prices for celebrity meet-and-greets vary, but range from $50 to $300, depending on the celebrity. You can find all that information here.  

Parking
