TAMPA, Fla. — Police in Tampa arrested a man investigators say shot another person multiple times on Tuesday.
Officers responded at around 9:10 a.m. to the Silver Oaks Apartments and when they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a press release.
The department's investigation led to the arrest of 22-year-old Joshua Thomas.
Investigators say Thomas and the man who was shot knew each other and had gotten into an argument at Thomas' home. That's when Thomas "intentionally grabbed the firearm and shot the victim multiple times."
As officers were giving first aid to the man who had been shot, Thomas "ran up" and told him that he shouldn't have made him "do it," police described.
Thomas is now facing felony charges of attempted murder in the second degree and aggravated battery. He was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
The victim, who police did not identify, is said to be in stable condition and is recovering in the hospital.
