Hillsborough home catches fire on Fourth of July, crews respond

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue reported to the scene. No occupants were found inside the home.

SEFFNER, Fla. — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire Thursday night.

Fire rescue reported multiple calls around 10 p.m. on Arch Ridge Loop in Seffner. After arriving at the house, the agency found fire pouring out of the garage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Crews hosed down the garage and ablaze areas to successfully suppress the fire, according to a news release. In addition to structural damage, at least one car in the garage appears to have debris on top.

Searches of the house confirmed no one was hurt, and everyone was accounted for outside the home, according to fire rescue crews. No civilians or firefighters were injured.

The American Red Cross has reportedly been contacted to help the affected home's residents.
