Busch Boulevard reopens in Tampa after pedestrian is hit by car

The pedestrian was attempting to cross the road into oncoming traffic and was hit by a car, according to police.

TAMPA, Fla. — All lanes of Busch Boulevard have reopened after a crash between a pedestrian and a car on Tuesday.

Officers received a call at 9:41 a.m. when a pedestrian was trying to cross the street into oncoming traffic and was hit. The person was taken to the hospital and in stable condition while the driver stayed on scene, according to a news release.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Busch Boulevard were temporarily closed between 20th and 18th Street, but have since reopened.
