TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Fire Rescue crews saved one dog and several cats while battling a blaze on Monday night.
No one was inside the house on West Paris Street, but they found a dog named Lily and her cat siblings. Firefighters treated the cats for smoke inhalation and revived Lily, according to a Facebook post.
Firefighters said heavy smoke was coming from the front part of the home and they were able to extinguish the fire within about 30 minutes.
"There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters, and we are happy to relay that Lily, and her siblings were all safely reunited with their owners," the post read.
Pictures from the fire rescue show firefighters entering the house while smoke billows out of the front. They also show them giving oxygen to Lily and the cats.
The cause is under investigation, according to officials.
