TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department said there is nothing to suggest foul play after a woman was found dead in the mangroves along the shoreline of Gandy Boulevard on Saturday.
Officers were notified of the body around 5:40 p.m. Saturday at 5123 West Gandy Blvd. west South West Shore Boulevard. The woman is a white female in her early 30s, and police said they are still trying to contact a family member, according to a news release.
Police will continue to investigate, but information suggests the woman might have overdosed.
