TAMPA, Fla. — An adult was hospitalized in critical condition after a house fire broke out in Tampa.
Firefighters responded to calls about a resident trapped inside the fire at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on East Idell Street. The victim was removed by crews and transported to the hospital.
A picture from Tampa Fire Rescue shows the single-story home engulfed in flames and destroyed with smoke billowing out of it.
No other occupants were found in the home and firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
