RUSKIN, Fla. — A man was arrested and charged with murder after he pushed another man who fell, hit his head on a dock and died.
Hillsborough County deputies are investigating after a man was found dead in the water Saturday night in Ruskin.
The sheriff's office said it received a call just after 6:30 p.m. about a possible shooting near a dock on Bahia Beach Boulevard.
Once on scene, detectives called in the marine unit which reportedly recovered a man from the water a short time later.
Detectives found there had been an altercation between the suspect, Kamal Padlowski, and another man on the boat. At some point the victim left the boat and Padlowski, 50, followed him onto the dock where he pushed him.
The victim fell and hit his head on the dock and Padlowski pushed him into the water. Padlowski was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
The sheriff's office believes this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
