TAMPA, Fla. — A man has been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting that left one person dead in October.
Luscious Bell Jr., 42, faces charges of first-degree murder, pre-meditated firearm discharge and felon in possession of a firearm, according to the Tampa Police Department.
The shooting happened just before 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 23. Officers reportedly found a man who had been shot on North 9th Street.
The man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officers were able to get surveillance video during their investigation that showed three people near the area at the time the shots were fired. This reportedly helped them identify Bell as one of the people in the video.
Bell also later admitted to police that he was in the video alongside other acquaintances, according to investigators.
Officers believe that Bell and the victim knew each other, though investigators are trying to figure out what exactly led up to the shooting.
TPD said additional charges could be forthcoming.
