LAKELAND, Fla. — A 55-year-old Lakeland man's body was found on the shoulder of Interstate 75 Sunday afternoon in Hillsborough County, troopers say.
At 2:37 p.m., authorities were alerted by a driver that there was a body lying on the northbound shoulder of the interstate near the 247 milepost, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
When troopers arrived, they said that the man was found dead.
Evidence collected at the scene reportedly indicates the man was hit by a large red-colored vehicle, maybe even a commercial vehicle.
