HILLSBOROUGH CO., Fla.—The Hillsborough County Sheriff Office has a strong message for anyone selling drugs in its neighborhoods: If somebody dies from your products, you will be responsible.
Three men were arrested and one was charged for the overdose death of 46-year-old Bradley Dykes in November, said officials. Dykes died after using Fentanyl, according to deputies.
Corey Smith Jr. will face life in prison for Dykes’ death, according to reports.
Two other arrests were made in connection to Dykes’ death. Authorities said Jeffrey Rodriguez and Donald Hatch Jr. were arrested for Federal charges: conspiring to distribute heroin and Fentanyl and State charges: Delivery of narcotics to undercover detectives.
This all comes after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office formed the Heroin Working Group to crack down on opioids in the community.
