TAMPA, Fla. - Seven K-9s from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will fight crime in new bullet and stab protective vests thanks to a donation from a Massachusetts non-profit.
K-9 deputies Ozias, Joker, Smoke, LyCan, Bandit, Storm, and Kaiser’s new vests came from Vested Interest in K-9s Inc., a charity with a mission to “provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.” The organization has given away more than 2,800 protective vests to K-9s in all 50 states.
