TAMPA, Fla. — As of Thursday, Tampa is the official home to the state of Florida's largest pumpkin.
Yes, you read that right – anyone who wants to see the 1,500-pound fruit in person can head over to Bearss Groves.
The owner told 10 Tampa Bay this pumpkin is the biggest one they have ever had.
"The 1,500-pound pumpkin was purchased and transported from Michigan," a news release explains. "The pumpkin will welcome shoppers and families in front of the farmer’s market where visitors come to shop for fresh farm produce, plants and herbs, and seasonal delights like farm-grown flowers, Christmas trees, wreaths and cactus.
"Pets are also welcome."
People will be able to catch a glimpse of this record-setting pumpkin all month long at Bearss Groves, located at 14316 Lake Magdalene Blvd in Tampa.
