Additionally, parts I-4 Eastbound were closed due to water in the roadways but have since reopened.

Tampa Fire Rescue officials responded to several flood incidents in the city. Pictures posted on the agency's X account show images of flooded, roads, submerged cars and one vehicle with its front bumper severely damaged.

The weather also made a huge impact on flights. As of around 10:30 p.m., Tampa International Airport had 113 of its 374 flights delayed, plus two cancellations.

This comes a day after another serious rain event where TPA recorded 3.80 inches of rain, setting a new hourly rainfall record, according to a post on X from the National Weather Service of Tampa Bay.

The St. Petersburg Police Department also made a post warning drivers that the "entire city" was facing flood issues.
